PV buildings with wood-like façades

The Taiwanese company Heliartec Solutions offers BIPV panels for building facades. They can imitate different types of textures

in conventional building materials, wood, stone, brick, marble, stucco.

The company obtained a wood colour by using ceramic inks placed on the inside of the front glass and raised to over 700° C. The colouring layer is sandwiched between two pieces of tempered, weather-protected glass. The panels range in length from 60 cm to 240 cm, with widths from 30 cm to 120 cm.

The panels are available in four different wood colours, including oak and walnut.

The company has several distribution channels in several EU countries, such as Norway, Italy and Benelux.

NDLR Nothing is said about the loss of yield of these panels obscured by ceramic inks, nor about their costs. This is not the first time that panels have been proposed that can take on the desired colour, but after the announcement of the launch, we don't hear any more about it.
