JinkoSolar very confident of strong demand for panels in 2024
JinkoSolar has unveiled its new Tiger Neo TOPCon N-type panels. The panels have an initial annual production capacity of 5 GW. The company is committed to using 100% renewable electricity in its manufacturing and production operations.
The CEO believes that despite the current market slowdown, demand will pick up rapidly in 2024.
"I forecast 20% growth over 2023, driven mainly by lower prices increasing the return on investment for solar projects." He said the likely situation of overcapacity in the industry would lead to a rapid elimination of unprofitable or technologically unviable production lines. "By the end of the year, our aim is for our TOPCon technology to achieve 26.5% efficiency, with all our panels achieving a power output of more than 600 watts.

Editor's note He's right. Demand will pick up quickly. Combined with a reduction in supply through the elimination of insufficiently productive equipment or old technology, prices will stabilise or rise slightly.
