The US Inflation Reduction Act has prompted SEG Solar to set up a solar panel manufacturing plant in the US state of Texas. With an annual capacity of

The 2 GW plant will be fully operational by mid-2023 and will produce TOPCon panels with 182 mm or 210 mm cells. The company intends to source all its content from the US.

Toledo Solar

Thin-film panel manufacturer Toledo Solar revealed earlier this week that it will increase production to 2.8GW of capacity by 2027 in response to "increasing demand for solar products".

First Solar will invest up to $1.2 billion to expand its manufacturing operations in the US.

Enphase Energy

The microinverter manufacturer is actively exploring the idea of manufacturing in the US following the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the manufacturing incentives it brings.

Enphase recently strengthened its home energy management offering by acquiring German software provider GreenCom Networks and partnering with Home Connect, a digital platform that allows home appliances to be managed using an app.
