New PV production plant coming soon to Turkey
Smart Solar Technologies has secured €411 million in funding from the Turkish government to build a solar panel manufacturing plant
vertically integrated plant in Izmir, Turkey. The company has four years to build the plant.
The company owns and operates a 1.2 GW solar panel plant in Gebze, about 65 km southeast of Istanbul, which produces bifacial PERC panels with split cells.
Since August, Kalyon Solar has been operating a 1 GW vertically integrated solar panel plant in Turkey.
