  • The German tender for 890 MW of solar power ended with 677 MW applied for and 609 MW awarded with a price of €0.052 to €0.059/kWh (weighted average price of €0.058/kWh). Last April, 1.1 GW had been awarded at an average price of €0.0519 per kWh
  • The German government launched the first tender for the supply of green ammonia to Europe. The first deliveries of sustainable hydrogen derivatives would arrive in Europe in late 2024 or early 2025.
  • Italy is expected to install 12 GW of solar power in the period 2023-24 (4 GW in 2023 and 8 GW in 2024).
  • The Japanese solar market reached a cumulative installed PV capacity of 78.4 GW at the end of 2021, and could reach 90 GW by the end of 2023 after installing 6 GW in 2022 and 2023
  • The city of Tokyo would like to make solar installations mandatory on new houses with a roof area of more than 20 m², and on buildings with roofs of less than 2,000 m², from 2025.
