Prices in the photovoltaic sector: stable

The price of solar cells FOB China remained unchanged. Few actual transactions took place, as price negotiations for orders delivered in March are still ongoing. Prices for PERC M10 and G12 mono cells

prices were stable at $0.0482 per W and $0.0473/W, respectively, while TOPCon M10 cell prices remained constant at $0.0584/W this week, OPIS reports.

Demand for cells is stable. The evolution of cell prices will depend on trading over the next two weeks. Cell prices are not expected to rise because of current panel prices.

Demand would have to increase for prices to rise. Only integrated companies could respond to an increase in demand. Autonomous cell producers can only seek profits by lowering the purchase price of wafers.

Editor's note The wait-and-see attitude in the industry continues. Lower prices no longer seem to be on the agenda. Rising prices are not yet on the agenda. Manufacturers are taking a wait-and-see attitude and are even still on holiday!
