American AES in 2023: a good year
In 2023, US utility AES completed construction of 3.5 GW of solar, wind and storage (including 1.6 GW of solar). Orders received amount to
5.6 GW of long-term contracts. The loss for the year was $182m (compared with a loss of $505m in 2022).
For 2024, the company plans to install 3.6 GW of new operational capacity
