The Netherlands has deployed 2 GW of solar in 2022 (+40% over 2021)

Germany installed 7.2 GW of solar in 2022 (+37% over 2021, with 5.26 GW, 3.94 GW in 2020). This brings the cumulative capacity to 66.5 GW by the end of 2022

Portugal installed 890 MW of solar in 2022, bringing cumulative capacity to 2.6 GW

In January 2023, in Portugal, RE provided 88% of its electricity consumption. Hydro provided 51%, wind 28%, biomass 5%, photovoltaic 4%. In the year 2022, PV provided 6.5% of the production compared to 4.5% in 2021.

In Spain, Miteco authorised 132 solar PV projects across the country, with a total capacity of 24.8 GW. All projects had already been granted access to the grid.

At the end of 2022, Brazil has 17 GW of distributed solar (installations of less than 5 MW); 32 GW are under development.
