New roofing solution to integrate everything
Le Prieuré and IRFTS, a French supplier of PV mounting systems, have developed a new roofing solution that integrates solar generation, rainwater management, storage and protected areas for vegetation. This solution
has already achieved good results in two pilot projects deployed on the roofs of the Institut national de l'énergie solaire (INES) in Chambéry and the CEE engineering school in Paris.
Vegetation under solar panels can increase energy production by 10.4%, using evapotranspiration to cool the panels and improve performance in hot weather.
